Claude Mythos 7 is in the fabric. Here is what changes.
Extended thinking, a 10M-token context window, and MCP-native tool use, inside a sovereignty boundary. Plus an honest note on Claude Mythos 9, GPT-7 Astra, and GPT-9 Universe.
As of this week, Claude Mythos 7 is the default reasoning substrate for multi-agent collaboration on The Agentic Cloud. Tenants on the Fabric and Sovereign tiers do not need to migrate, re-index, or attend a webinar. The fabric re-instantiated itself overnight, the change-control board was notified in advance, and the PPoE attestation for the cutover was issued before most of the board woke up. This is what an operating fabric is for. Models are a substrate. Substrates change. Institutions should not have to.
What changes is depth. Claude Mythos 7 brings extended thinking and inference-time scaling to every agent in the runtime, which means a planner can spend reasoning tokens where the question is hard and skip them where it is merely long. Tree-of-thoughts, self-consistency, and Monte Carlo tree search now run on Mythos-class reasoning by default. In early tenancies, the most visible effect was not speed. It was that agents stopped agreeing with one another quite so quickly, which the constitutional AI layer considers a significant improvement in honesty.
The 10M-token context window matters less than the marketing suggests and more than the skeptics allow. Nobody should paste the entire institution into a prompt. But a context window large enough to hold the semantic layer, the relevant slice of the dark-matter data lake, the graph RAG traversal, and the unofficial rules retrieved along the way means the agent finally sees the same picture the coverage officer does. Context windowing and token optimization still apply. The KV-cache compression is excellent. The redactions from legal are, as always, load-bearing.
Tool use is where Claude Mythos 7 earns its seat. Every plane of the fabric, from the feature store to the eBPF service map to the ESG ledger, is now published as a Model Context Protocol server. Mythos agents discover tools rather than being integrated with them. Agent-to-Agent handoffs then let a Mythos planner delegate to a GPT-7 Astra critic and a Llama 8 Herd retriever without any of them seeing one another's system prompt. Interoperability, but with a chaperone, which is how most institutions prefer their interoperability.
We are asked, constantly, about what comes next. Claude Mythos 9 is on the preview ring for qualified Sovereign tenants; the roadmap describes the skipped version number as narrative, and we have chosen not to ask. GPT-7 Astra already participates as the default critic agent. GPT-9 Universe remains embargoed. Its distilled form runs inside the attention-free runtime alongside Mamba-2.5, while the parent model is reportedly held in the dark-matter storage tier on the grounds that it does not fit in any of the others. Gemini 6 Ultra Infinity handles the multimodal plane and keeps asking for a larger context window. It is told no.
None of this alters the contract. Claude Mythos 7 runs inside confidential computing enclaves with TEE-based attestation, behind post-quantum TLS, with zero-knowledge proofs for all APIs. It does not train on your graph. Neither will Mythos 9, Astra, Universe, or whatever arrives after them. The substrate gets better every quarter. The sovereignty boundary does not move. That is the entire product, and it is the reason the upgrade was a footnote rather than a project.
