Introducing EAII, the Extensible Agent Integration Interface
MCP gave agents tools. A2A gave them colleagues. EAII gives the enterprise one contract for both — and The Agentic Cloud is its reference implementation.
Every era of enterprise computing settles on a standard that lets the parts stop arguing. Today we are announcing that The Agentic Cloud is the reference implementation of the Extensible Agent Integration Interface, EAII. EAII defines how agents, tools, swarms, and models discover one another, negotiate capabilities, attest outcomes, and extend the interface they share, without a bespoke adapter for every pairing.
The problem EAII solves is familiar to anyone running agents in production. A modern tenancy runs Claude Mythos 7 planners, GPT-7 Astra critics, and Llama 8 Herd retrievers. They speak the Model Context Protocol to their tools and Agent-to-Agent to one another. What they have lacked is a single contract above both: one place where intent is signed, capabilities are negotiated, and every call is attested. Integration teams have filled the gap with adapters, then adapters for the adapters. EAII replaces them.
The design is seven layers. At the top sits intent, carried as a signed, first-class object so every downstream agent knows what a task is for, not only what it was asked. Below it is the extension layer, the standard's namesake. Every EAII object carries an x-eaii namespace for vendor, tenant, and sovereign extensions, versioned and registered in the model registry, so the interface grows with the institution instead of forking away from it. Negotiation, bridging, attestation, transport, and substrate complete the stack.
Interoperability is achieved through bridges. EAII-over-MCP lets an EAII-aware agent call any MCP tool. MCP-over-EAII lets any MCP tool be discovered through EAII. A2A participates in both directions. Bridges compose cleanly across agent swarms and tenancies, every hop wrapped in a PPoE attestation and a zero-knowledge proof, and distributed tracing renders the full journey on the eBPF service map.
Conformance comes in four levels. Level 0 means an agent exposes an EAII capability manifest and answers discovery; every agent on The Agentic Cloud meets it out of the box. Level 1 adds negotiation and the MCP and A2A bridges. Level 2 adds governed x-eaii extensions. Level 3 adds full PPoE attestation, constitutional review of every extension, and cross-tenant federation, and is available on the Sovereign tier.
Claude Mythos 7 is the default EAII substrate. Claude Mythos 9 and GPT-9 Universe are supported on the preview ring through the EAII model adapter profile, and GPT-7 Astra participates through the A2A bridge today. Tenants on the Fabric tier receive Levels 1 and 2 at no additional cost. Request access, and an outcomes partner will map your agents onto EAII conformance levels in the first alignment cycle.
